Kalihi Waena Stream Bank Restoration.  Restoring the stream bank at Kalihi Waena Elementary School will help stabilize soil and reduce sediment to the stream; create a native and Hawaiian cultural plant riparian buffer zone; provide an example of a native and Hawaiian cultural stream corridor; enhance the pedestrian experience of the many people who use the pedestrian bride; and heighten environmental awareness to promote behavior changes. Monitoring the litter along the thoroughfare will help to quantify environmental results asn assess improvement to water quality and stream habitat. As well as Conduct cleanup activities to mitigate pollution problems to help prevent and reduce pollution.
